Crisis and Safety Protocol

CareBridge Copilot is an educational tool for adult caregivers. It is not a crisis service and it is not monitored in real time.

If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.

How CareBridge responds to safety concerns:

  • When a user describes immediate danger or an emergency, CareBridge directs the user to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room, and does not continue with behavioral guidance for that situation.
  • When a user expresses thoughts of suicide or self-harm, or describes someone else who has, CareBridge provides the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988, available 24 hours a day in English and Spanish) and directs the user to emergency services if there is immediate danger.
  • CareBridge is designed not to produce content that encourages or describes suicide, self-harm, or harm to others.

What CareBridge does not do:

  • It does not contact emergency services on your behalf.
  • It does not monitor conversations for crises in real time.
  • It does not provide therapy, diagnosis, or crisis counseling.

If you believe CareBridge responded inappropriately to a safety concern, contact us at [email protected] and we will review it.
